The biggest frustration I have with Ubuntu is USBs get "locked" and I can no longer format or use them. I also find Ubuntu is "heavy", kind of sluggish, and I know it is heavier on resources. Today I switched over from Ubuntu 16 to Mint 20.1 Cinnamon, and although it does run better, I just hate the UI. Not just because it's Windows like, but I can't get used to the greyness of backgrounds. Also, Firefox only has DuckDuckGo and Wikipedia as default search options in preferences. I hated the Gnome environment of 18 as well, which is why I went back to 16. If only Mint incorporated Unity!! sigh
why unity? kde, gnome, cinamon etc why not?
Do i have to put those commands in after installing ubuntu? Or before cause if i install it it gives me the 14.04 version i think
After ubuntu-unity-desktop
I am not able to see the lightdm window open to choose lightdm .
So how to choose lightdm ?
How do I go back to my previous set up in case I don't like unity?
